Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Die Repair Technician to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving stamping dies and tooling to support production operations and minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has experience in tool and dies repair within a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working with precision equipment, machining tools, and preventative maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain progressive, transfer, and line dies
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and identify root causes of die failures
  • Perform preventative maintenance on dies and tooling
  • Operate manual machining equipment including grinders, mills, lathes, and welders
  • Read and interpret blueprints, tooling drawings, and specifications
  • Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and proper functionality
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve die performance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Tool & Die certification preferred but not required
  • Experience with progressive dies strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of press operations and metal stamping processes
