Looking to start a career in manufacturing? PTM Corporation is hiring Entry-Level Prototype Press Operators for our 2nd Shift team. No previous press experience is required—we provide paid, hands-on training!

What You'll Do

As an Entry-Level Prototype Press Operator, you'll work alongside experienced team members to learn how to manufacture precision prototype metal parts safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Learn to safely operate hydraulic and mechanical press machines (training provided)
  • Load and unload metal sheets and parts into press equipment
  • Assist with basic press setups and tooling changes
  • Inspect parts for quality using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, and supervisor direction
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
  • Report equipment or quality issues to your supervisor
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing and machine operation
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, fabrication, or shop experience
  • Experience using hand tools or power tools
  • Trade school, vocational training, or technical classes

No manufacturing experience? No problem! We're looking for individuals who are motivated to learn and grow with our team.
