About the Role:
Blount Construction Company, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and programs across all job sites
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training for field personnel
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local codes, and company safety standards
- Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and incident logs
- Collaborate with project managers and site superintendents to promote a strong safety culture
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety requirements on all projects
Requirements:
- 2+ years of safety coordination or related experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 30-Hour Construction standards and regulations, preferred
- Proven ability to conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and influence field crews
- Proficient in maintaining safety documentation and preparing compliance reports
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel between active job sites
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and committed to fostering a safety-first culture
- Bilingual, preferredÂ
