Job DetailsJob Location: Riverboat Discovery - Fairbanks, AK 99709Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayThe Reservations Manager plays a key role in creating a seamless guest experience from the very first interaction. This position oversees all aspects of the reservations department for Riverboat Discovery, Gold Dredge 8, and related products, leading a team that helps thousands of guests plan their Alaska adventures each year. You’ll manage daily ticketing operations, build strong relationships with tour companies and vendors, support marketing efforts, and ensure our booking process is efficient, accurate, and guest-focused. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented leader who enjoys a fast-paced environment, problem-solving, and helping a team succeed. Responsibilities: Lead, train, coach, and supervise our small and dedicated reservations team to deliver exceptional service. Oversee ticketing operations, ensuring accurate bookings, payments, and reporting. Manage reservations software and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Coordinate with tour companies, travel partners, and vendors to maximize passenger flow and operational success. Support marketing initiatives designed to increase direct bookings and guest engagement. Analyze customer and ticketing data to identify trends and opportunities. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and recommendations for promotions or corrective action when needed. Prepare operational reports and assist leadership with planning, scheduling, and decision-making. Promote a safe, organized, and positive work environment. Schedule: Full-time position with a year-round schedule: Winter: Approximately 40 hours per week Summer season: Approximately 40–50 hours per week during our peak operating season Benefits & Pay: $26–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications Seasonal performance bonus of up to 12% Health insurance Profit sharing Flexible time off   Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, travel, reservations, ticketing, or a related customer service environment. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, motivate, and support a team. Strong problem-solving skills with a guest-focused approach and the ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests, employees, vendors, and tour partners. Ability to work extended hours and maintain a positive attitude during the busy summer tourism season. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office technology. Ability to learn and navigate ticketing, reservations, and other operational software systems.
