Your Opportunity

Your role is to work with general supervision and direction on average sized projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the guidance of a Project Engineer.
You will be responsible for daily inspection efforts on multiple complex, large, and/or diverse projects in order to ensure contractor’s operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Your Key Responsibilities

Inspects and reviews projects during construction, monitoring conformance with plans, specifications, and other codes and regulations
Monitors the progress of construction activities, ensuring cost, schedule and quality standards are met.
Generates daily inspector reports documenting construction activities activities, utilizing eConstruction processes, records and notifies supervisor regarding of any non-conforming work
Inspects and documents contractor’s construction activities including: maintenance of traffic, excavation, drainage systems, erosion/sediment/control, Hot Mix Asphalt and Concrete pavement, miscellaneous structures and calculates quantities and costs.
Examines construction materials, checking to see if they meet specifications.
Reviews plans, specifications, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings and pay applications.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
