Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an AI Solutions Product Owner – Level 3, to join our Insights & Intelligence (i2) team.  The AI Solutions Product Owner  will serve as the operational lead for AI Solutions provided by the Insights & Intelligence organization to the enterprise.  This role is 100% remote supporting the Falls Church VA office.

As the AI Solutions Product Owner, you will represent the voice of the user to i2 technical teams helping to define vision, manage backlog, and ensure that features are aligned with business priorities.  You will work with cross-functional teams to identify priorities and incorporate those into AI product roadmaps.

In this job, you will:

  • Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for AI‑based offerings.
  • Conduct demos, gather feedback, and prioritize enhancements based on user impact.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to keep the team focused on delivering AI milestones.
  • Decompose stakeholder requests into stories/features without formal requirements.
  • Ensure backlog items are well‑defined (acceptance criteria, business value, dependencies).
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and i2 leadership.
  • Prioritize requests coming from multiple stakeholders understanding when to delegate, escalate, or take tasks on yourself.
  • Coordinate development and test activities with stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Three or more years’ experience as Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst.
  • Experience working with data science, software engineering, and/or DevOps teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • No clearance required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst on AI/ML‑focused products.
  • Experience with application integrations and knowledge ingestion/management.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts (model lifecycle, training, inference, evaluation metrics).
  • Expertise with product management tools (preferably Github) and IT service management tools (preferably ServiceNow).
  • Agile/Scrum Certification.

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
