Description

Merritt Academy is seeking an organized, energetic, and people-focused professional to join our team as an Auxiliary Programs and Admissions Coordinator. This unique role offers the opportunity to support two dynamic areas of our schools while helping create memorable programs and a welcoming experience for current and prospective families.


Working closely with the Directors of Auxiliary Programs and Admissions, the Coordinator will help strengthen program operations, family communication, enrollment processes, and data management. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, thrives in a busy school environment, and takes pride in providing outstanding service while keeping important details and projects moving forward.


What You’ll Do


Support engaging programs across campuses, including:

  • Summer Camp
  • Intergenerational programming
  • Project Pals
  • Afterschool Activities
  • Winter and Spring Break Camps
  • Additional school programs, events, and initiatives throughout the year

Create a positive admissions experience by:

  • Helping current and prospective families navigate admissions and registration processes
  • Providing responsive, professional, and welcoming communication
  • Maintaining accurate enrollment records and confidential information
  • Assisting with reports, presentations, and admissions materials
  • Supporting a smooth and organized transition for families joining the Merritt Academy community

Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements, including:

  • High School diploma, Associates’ degree preferred
  • Previous experience in education, customer service, program coordination, administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working in a busy office environment
  • Strong proficiency Microsoft Office skills in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Canva experience a plus 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Self-motivated team player with high degree of customer service ability. Must have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and exhibit a high degree of professionalism.
  • Strong business writing skills to assist in development of clear, concise documents and presentations
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, faculty, and community partners
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments
  • Flexible and willing to support various school initiatives throughout the year
  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English
  • Pass pre-employment screening
