The hotel offers 316 well-appointed guest rooms with 9 bespoke meeting rooms and over 10,000 square feet of event spaces, the Hilton Fairfax is the perfect venue for any occasion. Located in the hotel lobby, Nova Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner offering traditional comfort dishes blending Virginia and Mid-Atlantic influences.  The Hilton Fairfax is looking for an experienced Mixologist/Bartender to join the restaurant team. Bartenders serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.  Bartenders prepare beverages for other server to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the lounge. Bartenders must be familiar with the restaurant menu and offerings to prepare drinks accurately and be able to answer guest questions.  Hourly rate for this position is $12/hour plus tips.  Full Time Team Members are eligible for: •   Medical, dental, vision insurance •   401(k) with employer match •   Disability insurance •   Employee assistance program •   Life insurance •   Paid vacation, sick and holidays •   Hilton Hotel discounts •   Team Member Parking •   Daily Team Member meals Qualifications•   Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. •   Hold a current Food Handler Card or must be able to get certified. •   Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. •   Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes. •   Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, and vouchers. •   Sufficient manual dexterity in hands to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock. •   Must be able to communicate effectively with hotel guests and Team Members Â
