Paralegal
Purpose of the Job
The Paralegal provides legal and administrative support to the legal department by conducting preliminary research, assisting with contracts and compliance, managing legal records, and coordinating department activities. This role ensures efficient legal operations through document preparation, deadline tracking, and interdepartmental communication, while maintaining confidentiality and organizational compliance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Complete preliminary Legal research on US law and International Law.
- Use project management software and coordinate a docket of legal projects.
- Work alongside other departments to provide them with legal support for their questions and concerns.
- Support the maintenance of state registration compliance in all necessary jurisdictions.
- Support the maintenance of all insurance policies and compliance. This includes shopping and comparing insurance policies.
- Be a focal support in privacy compliance
- Assist in developing materials for internal legal training sessions.
- Prepare routine correspondence, including letters and emails, under attorney supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of sensitive information.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, organizing legal files, and coordinating with internal departments.
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

- Bachelor's degree; additional considerations for degrees in Legal Studies or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a legal or paralegal role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Proficient in English; ability to understand Arabic is required, with reading and writing proficiency a plus.
- Knowledge of Coptic culture is required.
- Experience and knowledge in compliance or privacy is preferred
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Working Conditions and Environment
- Typical office environment such as walking, sitting, typing, using office equipment, and occasional lifting of boxes or luggage during travel.
- Working out of official hours and on weekends may be required.
