Inova Childrenās Gastroenterology is aĀ team of 13 physicians and 3 advanced practice providersĀ dedicated to caring for a diverse population of children withĀ gastrointestinal,Ā liverĀ and nutritional disorders.Ā Ā
Inova Childrenās GastroenterologyĀ includes multi-disciplinary programs that support feeding and growth challenges,Ā aerodigestive disorders, eosinophilic esophagus,Ā celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, parenteral and enteral nutrition,Ā intestinal rehabilitation, and liver disease.Ā The divisionĀ supportsĀ conventionalĀ endoscopic procedures, as well asĀ complex procedures including advanced endoscopy.Ā

Minimum Qualifications:āÆĀ
- Education:āÆFor Nurse Practitioners:Ā Bachelor's Degree in NursingĀ andĀ Master's Degree in Advanced ClinicalĀ Practice or graduate of a post-mastersĀ certificate program for nurse practitioners, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing; For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programĀ
- Licensure:āÆLicensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner;āÆIf Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence)āÆAND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician,Ā AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances).Ā Ā
- Certification:āÆBasic Life Support (BLS) upon startāÆāÆĀ
- Payer Credentialing:āÆAbility to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability toāÆenrolledāÆas a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payorāÆĀ
