ABOUT JOSE TEJAS

Jose Tejas has served the Northeast for 39 years and today includes five locations. We run a high-volume, fast-paced dining room where the guest experience is everything. Our host team gives every guest their first and last impression of Jose Tejas, and we are looking for a host who takes pride in setting the tone for a great visit.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Greet and seat guests with a genuine, welcoming smile
• Build rapport with guests from the moment they walk in through the moment they're seated
• Calculate accurate waits and communicate them clearly to guests
• Answer and manage phones using proper procedures
• Keep the host stand, menus, and waiting area clean and organized
• Page and seat guests, hand out to-go food, and monitor restroom supplies and trash levels
• Communicate effectively with the rest of the team throughout the shift

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Must be at least 18 years old
• A naturally friendly, welcoming personality
• Strong understanding and speaking of the English language
• Multitasking skills. You stay calm and organized when it gets busy
• Punctual attendance and proper attire
• Reliable, professional, and a team player

JOB DETAILS

Job type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time required. Weekdays required

Location: Fairfield, NJ 07004, reliable commute required
