Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to engineering specifications. You’ll play a critical part in transforming designs into reality by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality at every step of the process.


Requirements

Machine Operation & Setup

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (milling, routing, drilling, etc.).
  • Load/unload raw materials and finished parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
  • Input or adjust CNC programs (G-code) as required.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain precision.
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep machines in safe working order.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with engineers and programmers to troubleshoot and optimize operations.
  • Maintain accurate production records (machine settings, materials, inspection results).
  • Report any defects or deviations promptly.

Continuous Improvement

  • Suggest process improvements for efficiency and safety.
  • Contribute to a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment.

Qualifications


Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/bend/reach for extended periods.

Preferred:

  • Technical certification in CNC machining or related field.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages (G-code).
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing floor with machinery noise and potential hazards.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required.
