Custodian

Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our building’s lobby, common areas, offices, and exterior grounds. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment for employees and visitors and is comfortable assisting with light maintenance, inventory tasks, and occasional administrative support.

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday–Friday (Hours may adjust based on company needs) Occasional extended hours may be requested.

Requirements

•  Maintain cleanliness of assigned indoor and outdoor areas.
• Clean and service restrooms throughout the day, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures (PPE required).
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors.
• Clean windows, doors, and glass surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Wipe down tables, desks, counters, and high-touch surfaces.
• Clean offices and common areas, including breakrooms and kitchens.
• Assist with warehouse cleaning tasks, including using compactors for cardboard and buckets for cleanup.
• Clean behind and underneath machinery as needed.

Stocking & Support

• Restock breakroom and kitchen supplies, including food items.
• Assist with small inventory tasks.
• Support administrative staff with simple tasks as assigned.

Maintenance & Groundskeeping

• Perform light maintenance duties such as painting, replacing light bulbs, and changing filters.
• Assist technicians with small tasks as needed.
• Maintain exterior grounds: picking up debris, light landscaping, mowing, trimming bushes.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Education / Certifications

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

Job Requirements

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Familiarity with common cleaning products, equipment, and basic hand tools.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, follow safety procedures, and wear required PPE.
• Comfortable working independently and staying productive without constant supervision.
• Friendly, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a  clean environment.
• Ability to work outdoors when required.
