About the Role
The Event Photographer / Videographer captures the vibes at Student Activities events with engaging photos and short-form videos. They document special moments, produce visual content, and help showcase campus activities across diverse promotion channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture photos and short-form videos at Student Activities events to showcase campus life and promote future programs.
- Photograph key moments, student engagement, performances, and event highlights in a professional and respectful manner.
- Capture vertical video clips for social media content, including Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Edit and submit photos and videos promptly following events.
- Work with the Student Activities team to understand event goals and requested shots.
Qualifications
- Interest in photography and visual storytelling.
- Experience using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or comparable camera.
- Basic photo/video editing skills using Lightroom, Photoshop, CapCut, or similar software.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends based on the event schedule.
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
Experience Gained
- Gain experience creating multimedia content for a real audience.
- Learn how visual content supports event promotion and student engagement.
- Practice shooting, editing, and producing short-form video content for social media.
- Develop a portfolio while capturing live events and candid moments.
