Your role at Clorox:

As a Quality Technician, you will play a role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Starting Base Pay: $35.18 / hour

In this role, you will:

  • Follows a safety-first culture.
  • Perform all Block 4 – 5 Quality Technician duties as outlined in the multi-skill certification checklist(s).
  • Daily engagement with Leads and Operators to communicate quality needs and resolve quality issues in the plant.
  • Perform daily visual audits of line operations (Bleach Line, Homecare Line, Process Laboratory and the Molding Dept)
  • Ability to identify quality issues with raw materials and finished goods.
  • Ability to understand vendor information. Communicate with vendors on quality issues.
  • Lead quality projects throughout the plant.
  • Assist in developing/maintaining program for Clean, Sanitize/Inspect (C&S/I).
  • Aseptic technique sampling. (Water, raw material and swapping after C&S)
  • Qualify to conduct quality control testing of finished goods and raw materials.
  • Use of SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning Software), PLM (Product Specific Data System) to retrieve product specifications and test limits.
  • Assist in Quality Notification processing. Create, perform/assign/complete tasks.
  • Understand and assist in improving plant quality metrics.
  • Ability to operate quality equipment.
  • Maintain/troubleshoot plant quality equipment.
  • Responsible for managing calibration program.
  • Create, revise and/or review procedures (SOPs, Job Aids and One Point Lessons) as needed.
  • Serve as DRS (Document Retrieval System) backup.
  • Train and understand QSE’s (Quality System Elements).
  • Participate and lead SIP team audits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for several hours a day.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel and squat periodically while inspecting or sampling.
  • Exposure may include fragrances, load noise, cold or hot weather.
  • Must be able to smell products as needed

What we look for:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a quality role preferred.
  • 1-3 years laboratory and/or clean room experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, experience with MS Office, proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrate improvement results for their functional areas/teams or previous work experience.
  • Self-starter and teammate, detail oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Strong understanding of how to create/edit documentation related to processes and standards.
  • High school diploma
