About the Role:
Join ROCKING RD CATTLE CO LLC as a Slaughter Floor Assistant in Fairfield, TX, where you'll play a vital role in our meat processing operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in meat production.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the humane handling and processing of livestock on the slaughter floor.
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with USDA regulations.
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of equipment and tools used during processing.
- Monitor and report any issues related to animal welfare and processing efficiency.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of slaughtering techniques.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality output.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in the packaging and labeling of finished products for distribution.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a meat processing or slaughterhouse environment is preferred, but willing to trainÂ
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of animal handling and slaughtering techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations is advantageous.
- Bilingual - Spanish and English is a plus.Â
