Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for building and leading a high-performing supply chain team that enables service excellence, operational reliability, and continuous improvement across the organization. This role drives capacity planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and ERP effectiveness to ensure customer delivery, quality, inventory, and lead-time targets consistently meet or exceed business standards. The position plays a critical role in improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and strengthening supply chain processes in support of a $50M operation.

 

Salary: $98,000-$123,000

Responsibilities

Supply Chain Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end customer order fulfillment process across internal operations.
  • Design, manage, and continuously improve workflows for capacity planning, production scheduling, inventory management, warehousing, order fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures to support delivery, quality, cost, inventory, and lead-time objectives.
  • Oversee production scheduling to manage lead times and support OEE optimization, including downtime, setup, and throughput performance.
  • Manage replenishment parameters including ROP, ROQ, safety stock, lead times, MOQ, EOQ, and supplier allocation.
  • Oversee MRP and ERP systems (Infor/IFS) to ensure alignment with business processes and effective use of advanced functionality.
  • Analyze planned versus actual supply chain performance, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support and contribute to the S&OP process.

Continuous Improvement

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within ERP and supply chain processes.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and statistical analysis methods such as A3, 8D, Fishbone, and Ishikawa.
  • Maintain and improve Shawcor Management System (SMS) tools to support service, quality, inventory, and lead-time goals.
  • Develop and manage the SMS master plan and lead cross-functional execution.
  • Produce clear CI project documentation aligned with project management principles.
  • Design communication and management routines that engage teams in continuous improvement activities.

People Leadership & Administration

  • Build strong working relationships across Sales, Operations, and supporting functions.
  • Support HSE goals and ensure alignment with Incident and Injury Free (IIF) principles.
  • Apply HR policies consistently while fostering positive employee morale and engagement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports while driving employee engagement through SMS.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Specialized training or certification such as MRP/ERP training and CPIM certification.

Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in a relevant supply chain or manufacturing leadership role.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain best practices, ideally IFS.
  • Advanced analytical and computer skills, including tools such as Microsoft Excel and Minitab.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and methodologies.
  • Highly developed analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership and project management capabilities with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
