Summary

As an Order Picker, you will play a critical role in supporting warehouse and production operations by ensuring materials are accurately picked, consolidated, tracked, and delivered to the appropriate work centers. Success in this role means maintaining inventory accuracy, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), updating transactions within the ERP system, and contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times. 
  • Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of assigned forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Execute SOPs related to the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials. 
  • Pick and deliver materials according to shop orders and ensure timely delivery to designated work centers. 
  • Consolidate pallets and materials to maximize warehouse space utilization. 
  • Accurately utilize and update the company ERP system in accordance with established processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to support operational success. 
  • Operate standard industrial forklifts to move, load, and transport materials and products safely. 
  • Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities to support inventory accuracy.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor or manager. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
  • Previous forklift certification. 
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift, reach truck, or order picker. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to perform routine calculations. 
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within an ERP system. 
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and electronic communication skills. 
  • Quality-focused, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with moving mechanical equipment, vehicle traffic, and moderate to high noise levels.
