Job Summary:Â Provides direct and indirect resident care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN. Â Assists residents with activities or daily living, provides for personal care, comfort and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group or residents
Notifies licensed staff when a change in a resident’s mental or physical condition is observed. |
Notifies appropriate licensed staff when resident complains of pain. |
Demonstrates knowledge of restraint policies and procedures. |
Keeps the unit clean and organized. |
Cares for all residents with respect and dignity. |
Able to have assigned residents at planned activities throughout the day. |
Demonstrates knowledge of infection prevention and control policies and procedures, i.e., Standard Precautions, Transmission-Based Precautions, personal protective equipment, aseptic technique, hand hygiene. |
Demonstrates knowledge of proper body mechanics. |
Demonstrates knowledge of transfer of resident techniques, i.e., hoyer lift. |
Demonstrates the ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions. |
Demonstrates the ability and willingness to help CNAs during the assigned shift. |
Demonstrates strong observation skills. |
Demonstrates strong communication skills. |
Notifies appropriate licensed staff when resident complains of pain. |
Notifies LPN/LVN or RN of complaints of pain. |
