Purpose of Position:Â Â To assist in the supervision of the department staff and to give direction in the preparations, repair and shipment of aircraft engine accessories following company policies, SOPs and Repair Station Manual
Essential Functions:Â (must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation)Â
- Supervises/Coordinates the production of Accessory Component Business and manages Lead Techs directly.
- Responsible for holding production meetings with the lead technicians and other team members as required.
- Responsible for completing Corrective Action Reports with the applicable Lead Technician.
- Accountable for ensuring that shelf life requirements are met throughout the department.
- Accountable for ensuring that 6S, TPM, toll control, OJT and all other quality requirements are met throughout the department.
- Accountable for ensuring WIP is processed correctly and efficiently in the department.
- Accountable for maintaining proper consumable material levels.
- Accountable for ensuring all module shop deadlines are met.
- Accountable for ensuring monthly revenue numbers are met.
- Responsible for the development of new capabilities in the accessory component business.Â
- Trains, coaches and develops employees as necessary to ensure production goals are met and proper procedures and policies are followed
- Timely completes, approves and adjusts time and attendance/labor reporting as required
- Assists Business Manger in completing employee reviews and documenting work performance
- Ensures diligent use of the production software system
- Fills in for and performs duties of Accessory Shop employees as necessary
- Maintains and supports cost control efforts for labor and material to support facility/department financial goals
- Travels as required
- Confers with manager to recommend changes such as: equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of department and promote improvement
- Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner
- Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy
- Works overtime as needed
- Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g. Safety-glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.)
- Responsible for ordering materials, consumables, tooling and other assets required in the Accessory Component Business.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Â (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job)
- Must provide and maintain personal tool box in accordance with Segers’ Tool Control Plan
- Must be proficient in using a variety of hand tools, special tools, and GSE required to perform assigned maintenance tasks
- Must be able to read and interpret SDS and Technical Data Sheets to safely mix paints in accordance with specifications
- Must be able to use scales for mixing ratios
- Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers and supervisors
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision and to take initiative
- Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations
- Must be able to apply common sense
- Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English
- Must be proficient in company specific software and Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, rates and interpret graphsÂ
- Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel as needed for 8+ hours per day.Â
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repetitively with or without assistance as needed for 8+ hours per dayÂ
- Must be able to see within normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses
- Must be able to hear running machinery
- Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively
- Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination
- Must regularly be able to reach overhead
- Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist and stand
- Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally
- Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictionsÂ

Experience and Education Requirements:Â
- High School Diploma or GED requiredÂ
- A&P or Repairman’s Certificate preferred.
- 5 years’ experience working in aviation required.
- Supervisory/leadership experience working maintenance in an MRO preferred.
- Must pass criminal background check, DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen and comply with all applicable FAA required regulations.
- Position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with DOT and FAA regulations. Subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulations (14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40).
Work Conditions:
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise is generally loud.Â
