Do you enjoy helping people learn new skills, gain confidence, and succeed? Are you someone who can encourage others, solve problems, and celebrate small victories? As a Job Specialist with PACE Enterprises, you’ll help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities prepare for and succeed in competitive employment and life skills. You’ll work directly with participants both at PACE and in the community, helping them learn job skills, adjust to workplace expectations, and build independence. No previous job coaching experience is required. Paid training provided. Schedule Monday-Friday Daytime hours No evenings or weekends Flexible schedule based on participant and employer needs What You'll Do Every day is different! You may spend your day helping someone prepare for their first day at work, assessing their needs and abilities, supporting a participant during training, meeting with employers, or coaching someone as they build confidence in their role. Responsibilities include: Provide one-on-one coaching and support to adults with disabilities in community employment settings Teach workplace skills, job duties, and professional expectations Support participants through onboarding, orientation, and required workplace trainings Assist individuals with adjusting to new job environments and routines Help identify solutions when workplace challenges arise Provide encouragement, positive feedback, and respectful redirection when needed Observe and document participant progress, skills, and areas for growth Communicate with employers and team members to support successful employment experiences Advocate for inclusion and help create positive workplace experiences for individuals with disabilities Complete required documentation and progress notes using computer-based systems We're Looking For Someone Who Enjoys helping others reach their goals Is patient, encouraging, and able to build strong relationships Can teach new skills in a clear and supportive way Is comfortable working independently and managing a schedule Can problem-solve and think creatively Represents PACE professionally in the community Enjoys variety and meeting new people Physical Requirements Ability to travel to community job sites Ability to walk, stand, and assist participants in a variety of work environments Ability to demonstrate and teach workplace tasks as needed Ability to accommodate different workplace settings based on participant needs Why You'll Love This Job No two days are the same Build meaningful relationships with participants and employers Help people reach personal and professional goals Work independently while being part of a supportive team Paid training and professional development opportunities Make a direct impact in your community If you’re looking for a job where your work matters and you get to see people grow, gain confidence, and achieve things they may not have thought possible, we’d love to meet you. QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in disability services, education, training, coaching, customer service, healthcare, human services, or employment services is helpful but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to provide clear written documentation Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to travel locally to community work sites and employer locations Must successfully complete a criminal background check Must complete agency-paid training, including: CPR/First Aid MANDT (behavior management/de-escalation) Client-specific trainings Other required agency trainings
