As a PCA, you’ll play a key role in helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally — while working alongside supportive teachers, behavior staff, and therapists.

Role Overview

• Provide one-on-one support to students with emotional or behavioral needs.
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation.
• Implement strategies outlined in individualized support or behavior plans.
• Promote independence, safety, and engagement in the school environment.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (school, daycare, or behavioral health setting preferred).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current clearances (Child Abuse, PA Criminal, FBI) or willingness to obtain.
