Construction Inspector (Construction Control Inspector)

ASR International is seeking a Construction Inspector to provide on-site construction control inspection for 50 CES at Schriever SFB. The inspector verifies work against approved plans, specifications, and safety requirements and maintains a complete auditable record of construction performance.

Essential Duties

  • Interpret plans and details in the field and verify acceptability of materials and workmanship before recommending acceptance.
  • Compare plans and specifications to field conditions and safety requirements; recommend changes and coordinate revisions with Government engineers and contracting personnel.
  • Identify and document conflicts in interpretation of plans and specifications and support resolution within delegated authority.
  • Inspect materials and equipment delivered and installed; obtain samples for testing; document or reject non-compliant items.
  • Participate in pre-final and final inspections; track deficiencies and corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily inspection logs, safety observations, inspection reports, NCR documentation, and records of field decisions.

Minimum Qualifications (per PWS)

  • Degree in construction management or construction technology; AND
  • At least 3 years of extensive construction and/or contract-related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of inspection practices for building materials, workmanship, utilities, and system installations.
  • Working knowledge of construction trades and applied mathematics; effective oral and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD / federal construction inspection experience (NAVFAC, USACE, or Air Force CE).
  • OSHA 30, QA/QC, or similar construction safety credentials.
  • Experience with UFGS specifications and daily report systems.
