Electrician - Merrifield Location

Founded in 1971, Merrifield Garden Center is a family run, full-service garden center, nursery, and landscaping company with three locations in Northern Virginia and an extended family of over 600 employees.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable person to join our landscape design build team as an electrician. This position requires a driver’s license and a safe driving record.
 

Some of the primary responsibilities include:

• Designing, scoping and installing landscape lighting.
• Residential and light commercial electrical maintenance.
• Working with the team of Merrifield designers to collaborate on landscape lighting ideas and sell the idea to clients.
• Meeting prospective clients at their homes to discuss landscape lighting plans and verbally sharing initial concepts during the walk through.
• Formulating a design for the client based on the initial meeting.
• Coordinating with other team members and suppliers to determine project details and scope.

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

• A driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Friendly, respectful, professional attitude
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand or be physically active for hours at a time
• Ability to lift heavy objects
