Gym Director (Gymnastics & Operations) Falls Church, VA/Arlington VA
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on leader to run and grow our gymnastics program at The Little Gym of Falls Church.
This is not just a coaching role, it’s a business leadership position. You’ll be responsible for the gym's overall success, including staff leadership, member experience, and driving revenue growth.
You’ll lead from the front: teaching classes, coaching your team, and building relationships with families while also owning the business performance.
This role is ideal for someone who has a background in gymnastics or youth programs and is ready to step into a leadership position with real impact.
What Success Looks Like
- The gym is running smoothly day-to-day, with a strong, reliable team
- Classes are full, and new families are consistently joining
- You and your team are confidently promoting and selling the program
- Members stay engaged and retention is strong
- The gym continues to grow in both revenue and community presence
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Develop Your Team
- Hire, train, and manage instructors and staff
- Create a positive, high-energy team environment
- Coach team members on both instruction and customer experience
Run Daily Operations
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and day-to-day gym operations
- Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and equipment standards
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for every family
Teach & Lead Classes
- Teach gymnastics-based classes for children of various age groups
- Lead by example in delivering fun, engaging, and safe instruction
Drive Sales & Growth
- Actively promote and sell programs to new and existing members
- Build relationships with families to drive enrollment and retention
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue (events, programs, memberships)
Customer Experience
- Deliver an outstanding experience for both kids and parents
- Handle questions, concerns, and feedback professionally
- Create a welcoming, community-focused environment
What We’re Looking For
- Background in gymnastics, physical education, or child development
- Experience in leadership, operations, or managing a team
- Comfortable with sales and customer-facing conversations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to work a mix of daytime, evenings, and weekends
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000 – $68,000 per year (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonus opportunities

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and will possess superior time management skills. A background in child development, physical education and/or gymnastics is required. A combination of daytime, evening, and weekend hours are required.
