We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Transmission Service Technician to join our team at Koons Falls Church Ford. This role focuses specifically on transmission diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, and replacements—both automatic and manual—for Ford vehicles. Ideal candidates are skilled in Ford transmission systems and are confident working on torque converters, valve bodies, clutches, seals, solenoids, control modules, and full rebuilds.

Responsibilities:
- Perform expert diagnosis, service, and repair of manual and automatic transmissions
- Conduct comprehensive transmission inspections, including electronic and hydraulic diagnosis
- Remove, disassemble, rebuild, and re-install transmission systems
- Perform transmission fluid flushes, filter replacements, and scheduled services
- Work with Ford diagnostic software and tools to pinpoint drivability and shifting issues
- Collaborate with service advisors to explain complex technical repairs to customers
- Maintain accurate service records and follow dealership and OEM protocols
- Adhere strictly to safety and environmental regulations when disposing of fluids and materials
- Keep a clean and organized workspace, especially during transmission teardown and rebuild processes

Qualifications:
- Ford STARS certification required
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (or 3+ years of relevant experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transmission diagnosis and repair, ideally on Ford vehicles
- Strong understanding of Ford transmission models
- Familiarity with transmission control modules (TCMs) and related electronic systems
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- A.S.E. Certification(s) in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2) highly preferred
- Must have basic toolsÂ
- Must have great technical and mechanical skillsÂ
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasksÂ
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of ageÂ
- Must have a valid driver’s licenseÂ
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)Â Â

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Signing Bonus: $10,000 (FORD MASTER CERTIFICATION REQUIRED)
