Your Role as a Youth Development Coach

Empower young people in our service through coaching, mentorship and guidance by:

  • Building connections and opportunities across Foyer’s service offers by liaising with stakeholders, to increase opportunities available to young people.

  • Work with services to optimise communication, reduce access barriers and create pathways.

  • Maintain professional relationships with other services and stakeholders involved with young people in our service.

  • Provide holistic, trauma informed, person centred journey planning, coaching and advocacy with young people within clear and respectful professional boundaries.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications in human services or a related field required with the required level of experience.

  • Experience engaging with a diverse range of people using coaching and case management principles in a holistic, strengths-based framework.

  • Experience in an intake, assessment, case management, advice, advocacy and referral role

  • High level communication and interpersonal skills including experience in engaging and working with diverse people with varied needs

Essential Requirements

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)

  • Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.

  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
