We’re a locally owned, 21st-century retirement community looking for a dedicated Landscape Technician to help care for our grounds and facilities with skill, pride, and professionalism.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), with overtime required for emergencies including snow removal. This role also participates in an on-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance needs.

What You’ll Do:

As a Landscape Technician, you play a key role in maintaining both the beauty and functionality of our community. Your responsibilities include:

• Maintaining lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs through mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, grading, and seasonal clean-up.
• Performing snow removal duties, including shoveling, plowing support, and operating snow equipment.
• Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment such as chain saws, string trimmers, edgers, riding mowers, and snow blowers.
• Applying treatments to weeds and trees as needed.
• Installing and repairing fencing and performing routine building maintenance (interior and exterior).
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance and responding to emergency and after-hours repair needs as part of the on-call rotation.
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders.
• Maintaining clean, safe work areas and strictly following OSHA safety standards.
• Providing exceptional customer service to residents while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Requirements

 

Minimum of one year of landscaping or maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate power equipment safely and perform minor equipment repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, wet conditions).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• A positive, professional attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

This is a highly active role requiring standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting, and operating equipment throughout the day.
