PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Scale Clerk is responsible for weighing, probing, and grading inbound and outbound grain while maintaining accurate records and supporting efficient grain facility operations.

In addition, provide excellent customer service and administrative support while assisting with the daily operations of the grain facility.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Responsible for the weighing, probing and grading of grain both inbound and outbound.
  • Strong communication skills with team and assisting customers
  • Able to troubleshoot when needed to keep pace flowing
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist with incoming telephone calls and directs caller to appropriate person or department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develops a strong understanding of grain accounting software system.
  • Enters scale tickets, contracts and other documents into grain accounting software system.
  • Develops a good understanding of the grain business.
  • Responsible for keeping the office clean to ensure that we are keeping a professional working environment.
  • Maintains a professional workspace and office environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.                                                  
  • Attends all required meetings and training programs.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
