Responsible for operating the Electrical Discharge Machining Department.
Responsibilities
- Reads and Interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, set-up procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
- Designs production tools and dies.
- Verifies fixture set-up meets acceptable quality standards.
- Installs, aligns, and secures tooling attachments and parts on machine.
- Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Puts layout of tool parts in computer program.
- Performs mathematical functions to ensure tool part configuration.
- Maintains and operates the EDM Machine.
- Forms various components of tool using EDM.
- Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
