Position Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist plays a key role in connecting farmers and agricultural operations with the right upgrades and solutions. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities, understanding customer needs, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely, practical solutions. The role blends customer engagement, technical understanding, and strong communication to support the full sales process from initial inquiry through solution delivery.

 

Overview

We are looking for a driven Inside Sales Specialist to support growth within the agriculture market. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, supporting sales, and working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver practical, field-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within the agriculture industry.
  • Engage with farmers, operators, and ag businesses to understand equipment needs.
  • Support the sales team by coordinating and advancing qualified opportunities.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including outreach campaigns and tracking results.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to develop effective solutions.
  • Review customer equipment and recommend repair, upgrade, or replacement options.
  • Participate in occasional farm visits or field inspections to better understand customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with agricultural customers.
  • Practical understanding of farm operations and equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents or equipment specifications.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and adapt to changing demands.
  • Comfortable using computers and basic business systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in agriculture, farming, or ag equipment.
  • Experience in sales, service, or support roles within the ag industry.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance, repair, or operation.
