Assembly Technician

Position Overview
Packet Digital is a fast-growing technology company driven by innovation, precision, and collaboration. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our production team.
In this role, you will support the manufacturing process by assembling, testing, and inspecting advanced electronic products. You will play a key role in bridging engineering design and production, contributing to high-quality builds and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Solder wires to connectors and printed circuit boards (PCBs) with precision
- Weld or crimp batteries to wires or bus bars
- Research and apply welding techniques for battery components (tabs, cans, bus bars, wires, and circuit boards)
- Inspect assemblies and materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met
- Assemble and test final products to ensure proper functionality
- Build and assemble wire harnesses
- Support prototype builds and provide feedback to the engineering team for design improvements
- Assist with 3D printing operations, including setup and post-processing
- Build, maintain, and improve production test and assembly fixtures
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment
- Participate in design reviews and DFMEA activities as needed
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in electronics (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of related hands-on experience
- Strong soldering, micro-welding, and inspection skills
- Experience working with electronic components, tools, and assembly practices
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, power supplies)
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and test plans
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- IPC soldering certification
- Manufacturing or production environment experience
- Welding or battery assembly experience
- Experience with incoming inspection processes
