Summary

Perform preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider.

Job Description

Assist the provider with procedures and care of the patient. Collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicates this to the doctor. Cross-training to support basic optical and/or access functions as needed.

Qualifications

High School graduate is preferred. Will provide training and education for required skills.

Previous health care experience or training in ophthalmology, optometry, and/or optical office preferred. Basic Life Support Certification required.
