Job Title: Sales Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sales Team Manager to coach and manage a team of Territory Managers, driving them to achieve and exceed sales goals. The ideal candidate will conduct market research, develop pricing strategies, and build strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. This role requires a strategic mindset to create sales plans and increase market share within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and manage a team of Territory Managers to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, industry trends, and competitive activity.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and sales programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage an assigned territory and perform Territory Manager responsibilities as needed.
  • Create and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of exterior building materials and roll-forming equipment to effectively communicate product value.
  • Manage the sales budget, monitor performance, and report key metrics to leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer service teams.
  • Attend national and regional trade shows, conferences, and industry events.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple sales initiatives and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and standard sales tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Sales expertise, particularly in outbound calls.

Work Environment

This role may require travel and attendance at national and regional trade shows, conferences, and industry events. The work environment is dynamic, involving collaboration with cross-functional teams, and requires maintaining a high level of expertise in exterior building materials and related equipment. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential.
