We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit and Accounts Receivable Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in credit management, collections, accounts receivable, and financial operations. You will work closely with our credit team to support day-to-day activities while developing valuable skills in financial analysis and customer relations.

This role requires 15-20 hours per week during the school year with potential for full-time availability during breaks.

Work Location: Candidates must be located at, and work from, our corporate office in Fargo, ND. Position is not eligible to be remote.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance and monitoring of accounts receivable records, including invoice tracking and payment posting.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and sales teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely invoicing.
  • Prepare reports on aging accounts receivable and recommend actions to mitigate risks.
  • Allocation and reconciliation of customer payments.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the credit and AR department.
  • Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates who are working towards a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Agricultural Business or other related major in college preferred. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of organization.
  • Computer skills essential, with experience in Power-Point and Excel required. 
  • Position would require a minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week.
