About The Position

 We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Hospitalist Physician for a 7-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in North Dakota, starting July 1, 2025, at 8 AM and ending July 9, 2025, at 8 AM. This role involves providing comprehensive pediatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including clinic hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, plus night and weekend call coverage. The physician will handle a variety of pediatric cases, from common illnesses to immunizations, and will also attend low-risk births (approximately 5 per month), admit newborns, and manage discharges. Responsibilities include using the Epic system for patient management. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a diverse pediatric setting with potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
  • Manage common pediatric conditions such as runny nose, flu, and colds
  • Administer immunizations and conduct well-child visits
  • Attend low-risk births and take handoffs from OB (approximately 5 births per month)
  • Admit newborns and manage their care
  • Handle pediatric discharges
  • Utilize Epic system for patient management and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide on-call coverage for nights and weekends
  • Offer patient and family education on pediatric health and wellness
  • Stay updated on the latest pediatric care practices and treatment modalities


Additional Information:

  • Active North Dakota medical license required
  • Board certification in Pediatrics
  • Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
  • Excellent communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions
