At 29 Acres, we prioritize individualized programming, setting specific goals and outcomes tailored to the unique needs of our clients. 


29 Acre’s living community is located in Crossroads Texas approximately 30 miles north of Dallas. Located near the shores of Lake Lewisville, 29 Acres is a quiet community yet is only minutes away from the University of North Texas and all the major services and activities of the Dallas metroplex. It is easily accessible from several highways serving the North Texas area. 


This position would be located at our non-residential Day Program Hub in North Dallas off of Highway 635.


Position Summary

The Day Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Enrich-Dallas with daily needs and supporting while also managing Life Skills Coaches. The Day Program Coordinator assists in providing life skills training to day program students, and supports the staff in planning activities and carrying out other day to day functions of 29 Acres. 

Position Qualifications

  • Preferred: A bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Preferred: Minimum of an associate degree or credits equivalent to Junior in College (at least 60 hours)

  • Required: RBT Certification

  • Required: Company trainings: CPR, First Aid, CPI

  • Preferred: 2+ years’ experience working with individuals with ASD or intellectual disabilities

  • Required: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

  • Required: Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license and possess an acceptable driving record.

  • Required: Working conditions include:

    • Environments include indoor (e.g. office, house, classroom), and outdoor with resultant climate variations. 

    • May include required strength/endurance (e.g. lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.), exposure to injury (e.g. biting, hitting, kicking) and/or other hazards (e.g. bodily fluids) 

    • Must have the physical ability to respond appropriately to situations that require first aid or CPR.  

Must be able to assist clients in emergency situations.



RESPONSIBILITIES


Operational Responsibilities 

  • Provide life skills training to assist students in planning activities, vocational training, daily life skills, budgeting, cooking, social and other programs. 

  • Will attend weekly meetings with theLife Skills Coaches and BCBAs for updates and collaboration on an as needed basis. 

  • Support volunteer opportunities: liaison to discover and secure additional volunteer opportunities.

  • Collect data, observe students’ behavior as directed based on students’ plans.

  • Ensure safety and welfare (e.g. assist clients with taking medication on schedule, administering CPR and first aid if necessary)

  • Serve as an advocate for clients.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development.

  • Frequent parent communication including weekly texts, team meetings, etc.

  • Assisting the Director of Enrich- Dallas with intake and trial day needs.

  • Responsible for creating quarterly progress reports for clients.

  • Managerial responsibilities include but are not limited to 30-60-90-day training, annual reviews, 1:1 staff coaching and disciplinary meetings, fill in staff call-outs as needed, payroll time approvals, help keep track of receipts and vehicle keys.

  • Weekly meeting with the Director of Enrich for updates and collaboration. 

  • Join crossroads coordinators in planning theme days.

  • Create at least 2 activities per month for Dallas/Denton/Crossroads clients.

  • Create and facilitate once a week club days in Dallas for Dallas/Denton/Crossroads clients.

  • Assist the Director of Enrich in Paycor scheduling for all Day Program staff. 

  • Create and facilitate Club 29 in Dallas

  • Reach out to new parents of Club 29 for a 10 min parent interview. 

  • Provide coverage and be available for occasional pick-up on-call weekends.

  • Update client slack channels monthly or on an as needed basis. 

  • Create and post daily client activity schedules.

  • Choose and present client of the week. 

  • Facilitate safety training days as directed by the Director of Enrich Dallas. 

  • Assist director with maintenance of vehicles. 

  • Provide ongoing training for the life coaches in the community and at the Hub in coordination with the BCBA.
