The Future Stars Summer Camps at Farmingdale State College is seeking an Event Coordinator/Assistant Director for an 8-week summer position in 2026, running from June 29 to August 21.
Candidates must have experience with children, summer camps, and/or coaching, as well as a background in Social Emotional Education or Leadership.
The role involves planning and implementing engaging events and activities for campers, while also motivating staff and enhancing the camp's culture.
This position requires a passionate individual who can bring excitement to the camp environment and serve as a 'Front of House' representative.
The salary ranges from $850 to $1,000+ per week, depending on experience, and the position does not include housing or transportation.

8 Week Summer Position (possibly larger role in future)

Summer 2026: June 29 - August 21

Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm camp day. Staff expected to arrive slightly earlier and stay for any brief meetings after departure on a given day.

Must have experience with children, summer camps and/or coaching.

Seeking an Energetic/Motivated/Enthusiastic person to plan and implement fun events and activities for camper groups to take part in, as well as motivation and influence for staff members and program enhancement. Ice Breaker activities at orientations, etc. Create and enhance the culture of the camp.

Seeking someone with Social Emotional Education / Leadership Experience .

Become a 'Front f House' type person to 'Bring the excitement' to new levels.

Must be passionate about children and child development.

"Locally Based" - NO housing or transportation provided.

Salary: $850-$1,000+ per week based on experience and other factors.

Paid bi-weekly.
