What You Can Expect

Responsible for providing engineering services in support of either cellular manufacturing or logistical operations. 

How You'll Create Impact

  • Conducting feasability studies to estimate product/ process costs, analyze capital equipment utilization, capacity, and capability requirements affecting the make versus buy decision. 
  • Establishing process methods which meet performance and quality requirements. 
  • Establishing preliminary bill of materials and process routing. 
  • Developing a wide variety of applications, including machining, finishing, chemical vapor deposition, poly molding, pick, pack, receiving and shipping. 
  • Identifying a variety of options and choosing the most appropriate processes and methods. 
  • Negotiating target completion dates with appropriate personnel from other departments. 
  • Developing project plans and schedules for work activities, compliant with business needs.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Must have experience or formal education in machining, finishing, chemical vapor deposition, poly molding, pick, pack, receiving or shipping. Working knowledge of control procedures, such as the Engineering Change Notification (ECN), Change Management and Deviation process. 
  • Working knowledge ot formal education of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. 
  • Demonstrates ownership of and ability to manage project assignments with a broad scope and high level of complexity and able to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner. 
  • Demonstrates advanced problem solving skills through the use of quality and statistical tools. 
  • Ability to effectively work within a team and cross functionally to expedite completion of critical project tasks. 
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Project; Statistical Process Control skills; proficient in process development, and Unigraphics 3-D modeling software a pluse. 

Your Background

  • B.S. in chemical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or other engineering science plus 0-3 years of manufacturing/ logistical process development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Travel Expectations

  • Up to 10%
