RESPONSABILITIES / RESPONSABILIDADES - List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results), which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above Â
- Will actively participate in daily communication with customer engineering team and PKC Group Engineering team.
- Responsible for leading the PKC plant through new project launches. Creating and maintaining timing plans and holding weekly meetings to review program status.
- Support in resolving issues including reviewing and interpreting customer drawings.
- Manage the customer relationship with the objective of remaining a strong partnership.
- Maintain all tracking documentation needed for PKC plant, including latest drawing revisions, latest specification revisions, program parts list, program APQP issues list and new component tracking.
- Will spend considerable time on-site with customer’s engineering department.
- Ensure personal adherence with the Environmental, Health and Safety PolicyÂ
- Comply with the environmental work instructions applicable to their job position.
- Report any deviation on the environmental operational controls established and communicate improvement initiatives
- Participate in EHS training.
KNOWLEDGE / CONOCIMIENTO- Describe any knowledge or skill (eg, technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) which the position requires.
Education and Experience:Â
Minimum:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.Â
- Minimum (3) years’ relevant work experience as a program engineer or relevant engineering role, including experience in automotive industry and in wire harness design and manufacturing.
- Prior experience in a role that required frequent interface with the customer.
Preferred:
- 5 years of electrical distribution systems experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) credentialÂ
- Experience in automotive industry
- Experience in wire harness industry
Skill/ knowledge requirements:
- Ability to read customer harness drawings
- Print and schematic Knowledge
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and have advanced-level skills with Excel
- LEAN
- Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)Â
- 5 Phases, 8D Problem Solving, 5 Whys Technique
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Project Management - Plans and executes responsibilities with minimal direction.
- High level of initiative, be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Technical ability to troubleshoot and rework harness issues found by customer(s) as needed.
