WORKING CONDITIONS

 

MAX LIFT            30lbs

 

PPE REQUIRED               Safety Glasses w/ side shields, Safety Shoes, and hearing protection as required for work within a machining

manufacturing environment.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•             Perform diversified duties to set-up and operate CNC Machine equipment.  Work from travelers, operation sheets, program printouts and instructions to set tools, install tools in tool changer, set-up and operate machine.  Make “off-set” entries on control panel.  Dry run new programs.  Manually input data into computer when necessary.

 

•             Observe cutting tools for wear and proper cut, replace as necessary.  Load and unload parts in hydraulic or mechanical fixturing, exercising care to obtain proper seating on all loading surfaces.  Deburr and gage finished parts as required.  Maintain accurate records of tool data and “off-sets”.

 

•             Able to validate and run manufacturing production on a variety of CNC machines.  Able to assist Engineering in development of manufacturing processes.  Assist in procurement of cutting tools.  Able to customize tools as required by process.  Able to multi-task. 

 

•             Familiar with cellular manufacturing environment.  Able to inspect own work and hold tight tolerances.  Capable of running CMM.

 

•             Three years or more experience with CNC equipment preferred.  Able to configure/modify work as required by process.  Knowledge of Fanuc and Okuma controls, various hand gages, shadowgraphs and measuring equipment a must.  Programming experience helpful.

 

•             Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

 


1st Shift Monday- Thursday 5 AM-3 PM
2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 3 PM-1 AM
