We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Engineer to join the Farbman Group team. The Building Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting building systems to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for tenants and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to building service requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Monitor building systems and equipment for efficiency and proper operation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of maintenance budgets.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in building engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in building maintenance or engineering, preferably in commercial properties.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
