High Focus Centers in Farmington is a premier provider of outpatient treatment programs for mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our highly trained staff create individualized, comprehensive and robust treatment plans designed to meet each client’s treatment goals. At High Focus Centers in Farmington we are currently seeking a Counselor Assistant to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals. Schedule: Full time 40 hours/week Monday-Friday with 2 evening schedules/week
Hourly Rate: $20/hour - $23/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and supports in the implementation of resident treatment planning goals through contact with clients, family, colleagues and other staff.
Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and family members.
Assist individual, family and process group therapy sessions under the direction of the treatment supervisor including preparing materials for sessions.
Participates in recovery topics, life skills groups, and psychoeducational groups.
Manages client files by having all appropriate documents.
Communicating with referral sources and company representatives.
Attends treatment team meetings with psychiatrist and staff.
Participates in community meetings with clients.
Maintains client caseload daily.
Receives phone calls from support staff as necessary regarding client behavioral and emotional needs.
Clerical duties as required for maintenance of client files.
Listens to clients concerning all areas of treatment.
Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.
Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services or related field
Preferred: previous crisis management and counseling experience
