Position Summary 

This position is responsible and accountable for the execution of the Engineering deliverables for new program/product development as well as current product support. Technical APQP Leadership accountability. Responsible for aligning resources to program/product needs to customer timing.  

 

Essential Functions

Must have the ability to work fluently in the following areas:

Mechanical:

  • Fundamental knowledge of Brake systems
  • To perform layout & confirm packaging constraints in vehicle chassis.
  • Knowledge of Injection molding with insert parts

Electrical/Electronics:

  • Redundancy & fail-safe design.
  • Current/voltage sensing & diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of Cables / Harnesses
  • EMC / EMI Knowledge
  • CAN / LIN communication
  • Wheel Speed (ABS) Sensor knowledge
  • Connector knowledge including terminal crimping
  • Sensor head design knowledge (Wheel Speed Sensor)
  • Experience or knowledge of Electronic Welding process.

Software:

  • CAD/CAE: CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS for mechanical design & FEA.
  • Cable routing simulation software
  • Experience with Injection molding simulation software (Mold Flow, Moldex3D…etc)


Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s (or Higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical engineering experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the automotive industry
  • Ability to quickly adapt and contribute effectively with limited to no training, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and independence from day one
  • Sensors & actuators (electromagnetic, Hall IC, PWM)
  • IC Output principles
  • Power electronics (Electric Power Braking)
  • Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay), Canalyzer
  • Team Leadership experience.
  • Strategic and forward thinking.
  • Calculated risk taker
  • Regulations & Standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ISO 7637, ISO 11452, FMVSS, ECER13H, ASIL, IATF 16949.
  • Cross-functional teamwork (mechanical + electrical + software)

Physical/Safety Requirements

  • Position involves extended sitting periods.
  • Required to support product build and plant floor activities and observations.
  • Employee must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Employee must have the ability to travel (25%)
