Position Overview
The Fitness Manager at Defined Fitness takes the lead in everything they do. The Fitness Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to a team of personal trainers and their clients while involving as many Defined Fitness members as possible in the personal training programs through the sale and education about the program. You are responsible for the quality of member satisfaction regarding personal training. Fitness Managers will oversee personal training sales, sales reporting, sales training, renewal tracking, and educating personal trainers and other team members about personal training and participate in the leadership and management of the club by demonstrating the following qualities:

 Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Drive personal training revenue through the sale of personal training packages, team training and renewalsÂ
- Provide excellent customer service and member experiences to ensure client retention
- Manage account issues, contract management, etc.Â
- Collaborate with management in the hiring, training and leading of the personal training teamÂ
- Provide ongoing reporting to management on team performanceÂ
- Provide support and follow up to clients and cover personal training client sessions as neededÂ
- Provide feedback and develop trainers regarding their professionalism, service, clients, and personal training skillsÂ
Qualifications
- Valid nationally recognized Personal Training Certification and maintain throughout employment
- Bachelor’s degree in health, fitness or a related field preferredÂ
- Minimum of one (1) year sales experience preferredÂ
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory/leadership position preferredÂ
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products such as ABC and GymSales
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Valid CPR/AED certification (including infant and child) within the first 45 days of employment and maintain throughout employment
- Knowledge of how to use all exercise equipment and evaluate member needs accordingly
- Sales-oriented mindset and open to schedule flexibility to cover high traffic times as well as close-out dates.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or possible holidays as needed
 Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read, and write
