As a Line Cook at Tunxis Country Club, you will work under the direction of our Head Chef to prepare and cook menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness, while efficiently executing dishes during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies and ingredients
- Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Monitor food stock and assist in inventory management
- Experiment with and suggest new menu items and seasonal dishes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school degree preferred
- Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, equipment, and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible scheduling availability, including nights and weekends

ServSafe Certified
2 years minimum line cook experience
