Summary: This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering assigned projects while managing resources, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication. The Project Manager leads project execution across multiple departments, applying established project management practices to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.


Essential Functions of the Job

The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:

  • Project Delivery & Execution
    • Manage assigned projects from initiation through closure in accordance with consistent with the ebm-papst standards.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource assignments.
    • Identify project requirements such as staffing, materials, financial resources, and timelines.
    • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure adherence to defined objectives.
  • Project Coordination & Communication
    • Schedule and facilitate project meetings, including kickoff, status, and review meetings.
    • Provide regular project status reports, including milestones, risks, and recovery plans to senior management, as required.
    • Serve as a primary communication link among project team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Escalate project issues and risks as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
  • Operational Responsibilities
    • Track and monitor costs incurred by project staff to identify potential budget variances.
    • Confer with project personnel and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues impacting project delivery.
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to project team members and track completion.
    • Monitor the performance of project team members and provide appropriate feedback.
  • Project Types
    • Manage the following project types:
      • New Product Development
      • Organizational
      • Localization
  • Software & Tools
    • The latest ebm-papst PDP Standards (or equivalent)
    • Use the following software programs in performance of duties: 
      • AS400
      • SAP
      • Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
      • Smartsheet
      • Meisterplan
      • Other internal systems or tools as required
  • General Responsibilities
    • Participate in cross‑departmental collaboration to support project success.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Recommended Education and/or Experience

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Preferred Degrees: Business Administration, Engineering, or another technical discipline.
  • Project Management Certification (PMA, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 3+ years of proven project management experience.
