The Surgeon is responsible for the care of the pediatric surgical patient. This includes diagnosis, preoperative, operative, and postoperative management of surgical problems in prenatal patients, infants, children, adolescents and young adults to correct various conditions, disorders and/or trauma and injuries.
The Pediatric Surgeon is accountable for delivering comprehensive quality patient care according to standards of practice. The Physician functions as a member of an inter-disciplinary team within an integrated academic model.
