RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Providing essential personal care assistance to tenants with physical disabilities in the absence of their PCA and in cases of unanticipated needs or emergencies.
• Recordkeeping for all calls that are responded to.
• Carrying out facility emergency procedures, as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

• Works in the VCA office area as well as throughout the facility and its premises.
• Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. 

EDUCATION:

• CNA or HHA preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with responsible care-giving skills in Human Services Field.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required or must be obtained within first 6 months of employment. 
• N95 Fit Test Clearance required upon hire.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to keep tenant information confidential at all times.
• Team oriented with good communication skills.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult tenants. 
• Must be able to push, pull, and do heavy lifting without restrictions up to 51 pounds. 
• Must have working knowledge of hoist equipment.
