Grooming Salon Manager

As a Grooming Salon Leader at Petco, you will lead salon operations and salon team members, while delivering expert grooming services to our valued customers' pets. Your passion for people and for pets will ensure a positive experience for our partners and exceptional care for every pet, leaving them looking and feeling their best. The Grooming Salon Leader's primary purpose is to lead and manage grooming salon operations and grooming salon team members. Responsibilities include delivering a high level of customer satisfaction, fostering a positive work environment, driving salon performance, and developing and coaching both entry-level and seasoned groomers. Perform expert-level grooming services such as bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning, prioritizing the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets. Oversee day-to-day operations, optimize scheduling and grooming capacity, manage inventory, recruit, hire, train, and supervise grooming staff, provide coaching and performance evaluations, create efficient grooming schedules, monitor salon performance metrics, collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets, provide exceptional customer service, stay updated on grooming industry trends, operate and maintain grooming instruments, evaluate individual pet needs, educate pet parents on grooming maintenance, ensure safety and well-being of animals, perform quality checks and maintain cleanliness and sanitation, and uphold Petco's grooming policies and standards. Requires 2+ years experience as a professional groomer or completion of a technical grooming training program, strong leadership skills, grooming expertise, and availability to work full time including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Work environment is indoors, may require physical activity such as bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for long periods, and exposure to noise and wet conditions.
